Working Principle of Circuit Breakers
An electrical system requires circuit breakers to provide isolation and safety protection functions in addition to circuit control and short circuit and overload protection, especially in terms of personal and equipment safety and reliability of the distribution system. Therefore, the following aspects also need to be considered when you choose a proper type circuit breaker.
- Rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu); 2. Current limiting breaking capacity; 3. Short circuit protection; 4. Overload delay protection; 5. Isolation function; 6. Leakage protection; Arcing short circuits with high fire hazards are difficult to effectively cut off by short circuit protection, while leakage current can reliably disconnect ground faults, preventing the occurrence of personal electric shock and phase to ground short circuit faults.
