Whar Components are there for a SFP Module?

The SFP optical module is composed of a laser, a circuit board IC and external accessories. The external accessories include a shell, an unlocking part, a snap, a base, a pull ring, a rubber plug, and a PCBA. The color of the pull ring can help you identify the exact type of a SFP module.

What are the classifications of SFP optical module?

According to the speed, there are 10G SFP+ Module,25G SFP28 Module,40G QSFP+ Module,100G QSFP28 Module,200G QSFP56 Module,400G OSFP Module and even 800G SFP Module, which are widely used for 25G & 100G. The technology of 800G is gradually maturing, and the demand is developing in an upward trend.

With regards to its wavelength, there are 850nm/1310nm/1550nm/1490nm/1530nm/1610nm. The 850nm wavelength of  is a multi-mode SFP module, with a very limited transmission length, which is normally less than two kilo meters. The wavelength of 1310/1550nm is single mode, with a transmission distance of more than 2KM.
