TC stands for Tray Cables, which means all power cables, instrumentation cables, control cables were installed in cable trays or ducts; ER stands for Exposed Running, which means all these cables were installed outside, without any protections, which need to have a stronger resistance for harsh condictions; Standard of UL 1277 & 2277 having a detailed technical requirement of these cables; all cable manufacturers need to send the cable samples to UL lab; Only when passed all tests, your cable will be UL certificated; then  you have the right to sell these TC-ER cable in North American market;
